Clavo
Huasca

Clavo Hausca (Tynnanthus panurensis) means clove vine, and refers to the strong clove-like scent of the trunk and leaves. It is a large woody vine indigenous to the Amazon rainforest and other parts of tropical South America. Traditionally the pieces of roots and stems are macerated in aguardiente (sugar cane liquor) to make a stimulant liqueur used for rheumatism and as a sexual stimulant. It is used effectively to releive toothache with results as effective as clove oil.
In Peruvian herbal medicine, Clavo huasca is widely respected as an aphrodisiac for both men and women. Amazon indigenous peoples in both Peru and Brazil highly regard clavo huasca as an impotency remedy. It is an ingredient in two famous formulas for impotency and frigidity widely sold in Peru as aphrodisiacs and for sexual potency.
