Hercampuri Wildcrafted & Organic

Hercampuri (Gentianella alborosea) contains bitter compounds that improve the production
of digestive juices and enzymes. It acts mainly on the liver, which
is the body's cleaning organ with critical relationships to almost
every metabolic function.
It is traditionally recommended to:
- Treat acute & chronic gastritis, acidity and reflux
- Detoxify
and protect the liver
- Dissolve and eliminate excessive fat in
arteries
- Purify the blood
- Function as a diuretic
- Lower cholesterol
- Control weight
Hercampuri helps to energize because it helps to balance the metabolism
and improve blood circulation. Hercampuri acts as a cholagogic agent
(it facilitates the secretion of bile), choleretic (secretion and
excretion of bile), hypocholesterolemic (reduces cholesterol), diuretic
(increases the excretion of urine).Hercampuri has excellent diuretic
and depurative properties. The plant contains eritaurine, alkaloids,
heterosides, saponines, tannins, resins and minerals (aluminum, calcium,
potassium, sodium, magnesium, chlorine).
Hercampuri is often taken in combination with Caigua as
a symbiotic herbal combination that reduces cholesterol and decreases
cellulite.
Little is known about the active principles or specific mechanisms
of action related to the hypocholesterolaemic activity of Hercampuri.
It is believed that effects derive from the high amounts of bitter
compounds, which stimulate the secretion of biliar acids, reducing
cholesterol levels.
The great amount of bitter substances turnes it into an excellent
hepatic depurative, exerting its colagogue action. Therefore, it
reduces LDL cholesterol levels in the blood, mobilizing it to be
transformed into biliary acids, according to clinical experiences.
In addition it is a great regulator of the fat metabolism, this
is the reason why it is used to reduce the exogenous type obesity.
Its
colagogue action facilitates the bile secretion, while as a choleretic
it helps bile's secretion and excretion.
ELF provides Hercampuri as a whole food powder.
Pharmacological Information
A preclinical sttudy at the university Universidad Nacional Mayor
de San Marcos (Rojas, L., 1999); concluded that the decoction of
the whole pulverized plant of Gentianella alborosea "Hercampuri" produces
a reduction of the corporal weight, being this more significant
at greater doses. It was also determined, that the decoction of
this whole pulverized plant, produces a moderate diuresis, at a
dose of 6 mg/kg of corporal weight. This was corroborated with
histological changes found in the kidney tissues; when administrating
3, 6 and 9 times the diuretic dose. It concludes that the decoction
of this plant produces a reduction of biliary flow. The clinical
study made by Palacios (1992) on 89 patients shows the cholesterol
reducing effect of Hercampuri. According to Rojas (1999), no results
were obtained trying to determine a Lethal Average dose DL50. It
was calculated to be greater than 3000 gr/kg of corporal weight.
This was the maximum concentration applied and no alteration was
observed in the behavior of animals nor in its appearance.
